Data curator and Analyst

Qualification: Graduate/ Post-graduate/ Diploma in Bioinformatics
The job profile includes
  • Literature survey
  • Collection and curation biological data
  • Bioinformatics analysis of data
  • Database creation and management
Skill set:
  • Bioinformatics: A complete knowledge of the most commonly used bioinformatics databases and tools
  • Information Science: Good knowledge in application of various programming languages such as Perl, Perl-CGI, Java, MySQL, PHP and related technologies for Bioinformatics. Experience in Linux environment is an advantage
  • Life sciences: A very sound basic knowledge of biology is necessary.
  • Good communication skills, fluent in reading and writing English, ability to work in teams, independent and innovative thinking, enthusiasm at work and an open mindedness for learning.

Senior Software engineer

Qualifications required: B.E/ B-Tech/ M.E/M.Tech/ MCA/ Diploma in Computer Science/ Bioinformatics

Building on such a background, Dual Descriptor Method, a generic methodology for biological sequence analysis is proposed. From a systematic perspective, Dual Descriptor is defined as a two element set of Composition Weight Map and Position Weight Function which aim at reflecting the composition and permutation information of a sequence. An alternate training algorithm is provided to get an optimum description of the building patterns of the sequences.
